The 26th Annual Great Ware Duck Race - Perfect Weather for Ducks!

The 2009 Duck Race was held on Sunday July 19th. With a start time of 4.00pm, by five to four the crowds had gathered, the Mayor of Ware was present in the VIP area, the ducks were champing at the bit and it was all systems go for another thrilling race. The flag went up, they were under starters orders and then - then the heavens opened! Undeterred, the ducks took to the water like, well, ducks really.

Gradually the rain eased as the ducks paddled their way towards the finishing line. Some twenty minutes later (A slow time that is being blamed on the weather by all of the trainers that we spoke to) we had a winner. All of the Race Winners are listed below
