Presidents Welcome Dinner

Past Presidents Tony Freeland, Mike Fagan and Vic Knowles toast President George Wallace

In recent years it has become a club tradition for the Past Presidents to join with the new President for a dinner to wish him or her well for the coming Rotary Year. The Rotary Year commences on July 1st and the event is usually held later that month. This year's meal was held at The Salisbury Hotel in Hertford on July 27th and an excellent time was had by all.

On Saturday July 24th, Rotarians and partners from the Rotary Clubs of Amwell, Hertford Shires and Ware once again joined forces for a day to offer free help and assistance with various household and garden maintenance tasks to many elderly and disabled residents of Ware.

The 27th Annual Great Ware Duck Race

The 2010 Great Ware Duck Race was held on Sunday July 18th at Ware Lock.

After a fast start the race settled into a close fought, tactical battle with the leading competitors all looking for the advantage - and a push.

Two of the winning duck owners were actually present at this year's event to see their their ducks cross the line!
