The Annual Golf Competition
This year's Amwell Golf Competition reached its thrilling climax on Monday March 8th. Club Secretary Andrew Willson managed to retain the trophy with Colin Straker taking second place.

The Extraordinary Quiz of The Year - February 19th
The Amwell Rotary Quiz held at Wodson Park on Friday 19th February to mark the 105th anniversary of the Rotary movement and celebrate World Rotary Day, was enjoyed by over 100 people. The questions all had a Rotary connection, sometimes rather loosely, but as one of the objectives was to raise awareness of Rotary and its aims, this was understandable.
After six rounds of questions, partly based on projected slides and audio clips, posed by presenter Chris Abbott, the quiz concluded with a construction game that taxed the ingenuity of the contestants as they tried to build a structure as high as possible with the simple materials supplied - a taster for the annual Technology Tournament for local schools! It provided plenty of laughs.
Supper, organised by Eileen Straker, was much appreciated and provided a pleasant interlude.
The winning team were rewarded with vouchers for The Bluecoats Restaurant in Hertford who supported the event.
